Swedish face mask selected as one of TIME’s 2020 Best Inventions
IAMRUNBOX’s RunMask has been selected as one of TIME's 2020 Best Inventions. This annual list recognizes 100 groundbreaking inventions that are making the world better, smarter, and even a bit more fun. The RunMask will be one of three masks that receive joint recognition in the Style category.
For 2020’s list, TIME solicited nominations both from its editors and correspondents around the world and through an online application process. It then evaluated them on factors including originality, effectiveness, ambition, and impact.
“We are thrilled to have been selected. We all need inspiration and strength to move forward together in these strange times. Our main motivation is to encourage people to keep going while taking care of themselves and each other”, says Kirill Noskov, CEO of IAMRUNBOX.
Made from multilayered, breathable fabrics, the RunMask has been test-proven to offer protection from potentially harmful particles in the air. The mask is reusable, adjustable in size, weather-resistant, and ergonomically designed. IAMRUNBOX even joined forces with WeFightCovid.org, a nonprofit organization, to help slow the spread of the virus in Sweden.
The RunMask was successfully launched by IAMRUNBOX earlier this year as a part of the Active Essentials Kit. Together with Malmö Industries - a local factory focused on sustainability, and WeWork Labs - a business innovation hub, the company was able to fast-track the solution for the whole world.
We design backpacks and accessories that are motion-friendly, functional, and sustainable. Our mission is to make it simple and easy for active people to fit sport in their busy lives. Our vision is to create products that promote an active and healthy lifestyle with the lowest carbon footprint possible.
